PollEverywhere
PollEverywhere is an online polling tool. This tool proves to be extremely useful in the classroom to get feedback from students quickly, and in an organized fashion. With PollEverywhere, feedback is given to the poller, by answering via text or by replying to the poller's link. The way that the data is organized is determined by the poller. Options for displaying feedback includes: open-ended (text wall, word cloud, cluster, or ticker), multiple choice, or clickable image.
Ways to use this collaboration tool in the classroom would be anything that requires asking a question or getting feedback about something. Examples include: gathering feedback about what students do or do not know (what students need more help with), having students share their opinions on a topic, or using as an introduction to class.

TodaysMeet
TodaysMeet is a collaborative discussion tool. This tool allows one user to create a discussion board, and then anyone else (after creating a nickname) can contribute to the discussion by posting messages that are 140 characters or less (an idea that is very similar to Twitter). This website can be great for use within the classroom, as it allows all students to provide input in a comfortable way. Because not all students are willing to participate in class discussions verbally (especially if they are quieter), this tool may be helpful in getting all students to talk.
Ways to use this collaboration tool in the classroom would be: providing classroom-wide feedback on presentations, having students brainstorm ideas, asking questions to see if the students have any questions about anything, etc.

Google Drive
Google Drive is a cloud storage service that allows users to store your documents, photos, videos, and more online. From Google Drive, users also have access to use Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and other applications to create and edit various types of files. Google Drive is ideal for group projects, as it allows students to work on the same document simultaneously (or whenever works best for them); students can work on the same project and contribute equally, without having to have a specific time where everyone has to work on it at the same time.
Google Docs
Google Docs is an online word processor that allows users to create and format text documents and collaborate with other people in real time. It can easily be compared to a "basic" version of Microsoft's Word, with the addition of multiple users being able to collaborate and work together at the same time. Because of the ability for multiple users to edit a document at once, this collaboration tool is ideal for use in the classroom, and with large groups. However, Google Docs does have a limitation of the number of people that can edit the document at one time (50 users).
The biggest way that Google Docs could be used within the classroom is for any group project that requires collaboration. This includes creating lists, brainstorming, writing a collaborative research paper, etc.

Google Sheets
Google Sheets is an online spreadsheet that allows users to create and format spreadsheets, while collaborating with other people in real time (exactly like Google Docs, but using spreadsheets); this is much like Microsoft's Excel. Google Sheets is extremely helpful, as it has tools that allow the user to calculate the sum, average, minimum, and/or maximum within a set of data.
Like the other products of Google Drive, Google Sheets is ideal for any collaborative project. Some ways that Google Sheets could be used within a classroom would be to gather any sort of data (numerical or verbal), signing up for conferences, or any sort of sign-up.

Google Slides
Google Slides is an online presentation creator tool that allows users to create and format presentations (in the format of slides), while collaborating with other people in real time (like Google Docs and Sheets, but with presentations); this is much like Microsoft's PowerPoint.
Google Slides is ideal for any collaborative project whose end result is a presentation. The most obvious use for this tool, is to create presentations within a group. This is especially helpful as it gets rid of the time issue (which is definitely an issue in college when trying to find a time that works for everyone to work on a group assignment/project/presentation at once).

Popplet
Popplet is a tool that allows users to create various visual representations of different concepts, namely concept maps. Some different visual representations that can be created with this tool include graphic organizers and timelines. This tool can be extremely helpful in the classroom because it caters to several of the multiple intelligences (visual, verbal, interpersonal). This is also an excellent tool because it allows multiple people to collaborate on a single "Popplet". The original user can add, or invite, other Popplet users to collaborate with them on their Popplet.
Ways that this collaboration tool could be used in the classroom would be: brainstorming on a certain topic, research and creating a visual report on a certain topic (like the image to the left--planets, for example), creating a timeline, or telling or summarizing a story/book.
